Michael Brame

Michael Brame is a Partner and a Project Manager with Pilot Environmental, Inc. He currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Brame graduated from N.C. State University with a BS in Natural Resources – Ecosystem Assessment and a minor in Forest Management. Mr. Brame began his career as an environmental consultant in 1997. Mr. Brame has technical experience in environmental due diligence, soils, wetlands, natural resources and land development. His project experience includes conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Stream/Wetland Determinations/Delineations, Stream and Wetland Permitting, Soil Assessments (suitability of on-site waste systems and seasonal high water table determinations), Environmental Evaluations for N.C. DOT Borrow/Waste Sites (including design of sediment and erosion control plans), NEPA Assessments (including categorical exclusions and Environmental Assessments), NPDES Stormwater compliance monitoring, and environmental investigations associated with HUD funding. Mr. Brame is certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist and is a Certified Environmental Professional as defined by ASTM Standard 1527-00. Mr. Brame is a member of the Soil Science Society of NC, Society of Wetland Scientists and the N.C. Association of Environmental Professionals.

B.J. Lineback

B. J. Lineback is a Partner and Project Manager with Pilot Environmental, Inc. He currently resides in Kernersville, North Carolina. Mr. Lineback graduated from N.C. State University and Surry Community College and has a technical background in indoor air quality including asbestos, mold and radon, and environmental due diligence. Mr. Lineback began his career as an environmental consultant in 2004. His project experience includes conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; asbestos inspections, abatement designs and air monitoring; indoor air quality assessments and development of remediation protocols; NPDES stormwater compliance monitoring; NEPA/SEPA Assessments including categorical exclusions and Environmental Assessments for various State/Federal agencies. Mr. Lineback is a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant and a LEED Accredited Professional. Mr. Lineback is licensed to conduct asbestos inspections, abatement designs and air monitoring in North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Lineback is a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association, the Environmental Information Association and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists. Mr. Lineback is a Certified Environmental Professional as defined by ASTM Standard 1527-00.

David Brame

David Brame is a Partner and Project Manager of Pilot Environmental, Inc. Mr. Brame currently resides in Pinnacle, North Carolina. Mr. Brame graduated from N.C. State University with a BS in Forest Management and has a technical background in wetlands and natural resources, environmental due diligence and asbestos. Mr. Brame began his career as an environmental consultant in 2002. His project experience includes conducting stream/wetland determinations and permitting, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; asbestos inspections and asbestos abatement designs. Mr. Brame is a Professional Wetland Scientist and is licensed to conduct asbestos inspections, abatement designs and air monitoring in North Carolina and Virginia. Mr. Brame is a Certified Environmental Professional as defined by ASTM Standard 1527-00 and a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists.

Brad Luckey

Brad Luckey is a Partner and Project Manager with Pilot Environmental, Inc. He was born and resides in Archdale, North Carolina. Mr. Luckey graduated from N.C. State University with a BS in Soil Science and has a technical background in soils, wetlands, natural resources and land development. Mr. Luckey began his career as an environmental consultant in 2010. His project experience includes conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Stream/Wetland Determinations and Permitting, Soil Assessments for suitability of on-site waste systems and seasonal high water table determinations, Environmental Evaluations for N.C. DOT Borrow/Waste Sites including design of sediment and erosion control plans, NEPA Assessments (including categorical exclusions and Environmental Assessments) and investigations associated with HUD funding. Mr. Luckey is certified as a N.C. Licensed Soil Scientist In-Training, Professional Wetland Scientist In-Training and as a Level III Designer of Sediment and Erosion Control Plans for N.C. DOT. Mr. Luckey is a member of the Soil Science Society of NC, Society of Wetland Scientists and the N.C. Association of Environmental Professionals.

Toby Benfield

Toby Benfield is a Partner and Project Manager with Pilot Environmental, Inc. He was born in and resides in Lexington, North Carolina. Mr. Benfield graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in general chemistry and has a technical background in environmental due diligence and risk assessment/management. Mr. Benfield began his career as an environmental consultant in 2002. His project experience includes conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II soil, soil gas and groundwater investigations, regulatory assessments in accordance with appropriate EPA and NCDENR Guidelines, development and implementation of preliminary work plans, environmental management plans, corrective action and remediation plans, vapor intrusion studies, and NPDES stormwater compliance monitoring. Mr. Benfield is OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certified and a N.C. Licensed Asbestos Inspector. Mr. Benfield is a member of the N.C. Groundwater Professionals and a Certified Environmental Professional as defined by ASTM Standard 1527-00.
