Natural Resources Services
Pilot performs a variety of Natural Resources services to facilitate site development, re-development and funding/grant assistance. Our staff has experience in a broad number of services that can assist clientele with preliminary site planning, site layout and site design.
Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys – Scope of Services includes a review of appropriate literature/databases, site reconnaissance, vegetation and wildlife habitat descriptions and correspondence with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the North Carolina Natural Heritage Program. Additionally, Pilot has the capacity to conduct or provide oversight of Detailed Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys.
Cultural Resources Evaluations – Scope of Services includes a review of appropriate literature/databases and historical aerial photographs, a site reconnaissance, interviews with current/former property owners and correspondence with the North Carolina State Historic Preservation Office. Additionally, Pilot can provide oversight of Detailed Archaeological Investigations and Historic Property Evaluations.
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 4128-D Forms – Scope of Services includes completion of necessary tasks such as wetland determinations, noise assessments, Tier I Vapor Encroachment Screening and correspondence with federal, state and local officials.
NEPA Categorical Exclusions, NEPA Environmental Assessments and NEPA Environmental Impact Statements – Scope of Services consists of preparation of the applicable documentation and supplemental information to adequately assess the impact of the proposed project on the environment. Such tasks include: noise assessments, stream/wetland determinations, air quality evaluations, traffic evaluations, effects of socio-economic impact, mitigation determination and impact analysis.
